Braves SnapshotThe Elmbrook Braves organization is designed to allow kids to play Little League games with their friends and to play higher level ball on the weekends without having to join an academy program. It's for kids that want to play higher level ball on the weekends while playing against their buddies on weekdays. It's for parents that don't want to travel every weekend or be an hour away from home on a weekday at 4:30pm for warm-ups.
Program Overview:
- Age Groups & Tryouts: Players try out each year to earn a spot on one of the Braves teams in their age group. Many players stay with the same core team for several years, creating tight-knit friendships and strong team chemistry.
- Tournament Play: Braves teams typically play in weekend tournaments from May through July. Most tournaments are held within a 45-minute to one-hour drive, making travel manageable for families while still providing a competitive environment.
- Training & Practices: Offseason winter practices are held in Waukesha, focusing on skill development and team preparation. During the season, weather permitting, outdoor practices are held regularly at Mitchell Park.
- Partnership with Elmbrook Little League: The Braves work in close coordination with Elmbrook Little League, helping to foster a strong baseball culture in the community. This collaboration ensures that players stay connected to their local league while getting the chance to compete at a higher level.
- Community & Character: The Braves are about more than just baseball. The program promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership. Many families find that the friendships formed on and off the field become lasting connections throughout the community.
